Private Lessons

We coordinate private voice and piano lessons for students. If your child would like to take lessons, please fill out the form below and we will contact you!

Who is eligible: FCCPS students in grades 5 – 12 who are members of Choral Boosters.

Location: Meridian High School classroom.

Time: Flexible. Must take place outside of school hours.

Costs:

Choral Boosters membership: $30 - $150 per year (if not already a member)
Classroom rental fee: $13 – 38 per semester
30-minute lesson fee: $40, paid directly to instructor.

Financial assistance: If a student is seriously interested in private study but cannot afford lessons, please email FCCPSChoralBoosters@gmail.com.

Student Lesson Agreement

▪ Only Choral Boosters members may receive the discounted rates offered through this program. Memberships start at $30 per year. ▪ A fee of $40 is charged for each 30-minute lesson. Full monthly payment is due at the first lesson of each month, payable directly to the instructor. ▪ A fee of $13 - $38 per semester is due to the Choral Boosters in September and February to cover the cost of renting the classroom used for lessons . ▪ Students/parents are required to email or call the instructor at least 24-hours in advance of cancellation of a scheduled lesson. Payments for unexcused absences will be due in full. Lessons missed due to snow days, school closures, illness or legitimate emergencies may be made up at the discretion of the instructor. ▪ A two-week written (emailed) prior notice to the instructor is required to suspend or stop lessons. ▪ Because of subsequent lessons, sessions that begin late cannot extend past the time set. Scheduling is the responsibility of the instructor in coordination with the student and parent/guardian. ▪ For in-person lessons, parents/designated individuals must accompany elementary students to and from lessons. School Use policies require on-site parental supervision of the lessons for younger children. No one may wander the hallways or classrooms. Students are required to conduct themselves in the same manner expected during school hours and respect school property. ▪ Students are expected to follow the instructor’s recommended practice schedule. ▪ Students and parents agree not to hold the District or any Falls Church City Public School liable for anything that is not expressly stated in this agreement. ▪ Email the Choral Boosters at FCCPSChoralBoosters@gmail.com with any issues or concerns.
